Abell Auction Co. is proud to present an important two-day fine art, jewelry, antiques, and design auction on March 15 and 16 in Los Angeles. This highly anticipated sale features an extraordinary selection of estate jewelry, fine art, and rare treasures from the personal collection of internationally renowned designer George Doan.

Collectors and connoisseurs will discover more than 70 lots of exquisite estate jewelry, highlighted by a breathtaking 10.22 carat diamond ring and exceptional pieces by Bulgari, David Webb, and other celebrated designers. Live online bidding begins at 10 a.m. PDT each day.

The auction also showcases the distinguished personal collection of George Doan, featuring remarkable 18th and 19th century French, Italian, Spanish, and Portuguese furniture and antiques. A visionary in design, Doan was known for his work with celebrities, business leaders, and political figures worldwide. Among his notable achievements, he transformed a historic Pennsylvania firehouse into an architectural showpiece and designed interiors for James Biddle, former president of the National Trust for Historic Preservation.

Fine art highlights include works signed or attributed to Louis Ritman, David Hockney, Alexander Calder, Chuck Arnoldi, Billy Al Bengston, Pablo Picasso, Robert Motherwell, Sam Francis, and Sigmund Joseph Menkes, among others.

Furniture and decorative arts highlights include a pair of Iberian Rococo gilt-and-red-lacquered armchairs, an Italian walnut-and-marquetry commode, a Paul McCobb dining suite, and a pair of Paul Ferrante Neoclassical-style pieces.
