Originally from Zhoushan, China, Wu rose to prominence in the 1980s with his provocative installations and performances, including Red Humour, which challenged official propaganda through absurdist reinterpretations of Maoist slogans. His work spans painting, sculpture, and mixed media, frequently incorporating elements of Dada and Pop Art. Now based in Germany and China, Wu continues to explore language, identity, and societal contradictions in his practice.

Condition

Abell provides in-house shipping for select items. Our office is open Monday to Friday from 8:00 AM to 12:00 PM and 1:00 PM to 3:00 PM for item pickups. Items that cannot be shipped will be noted.
