He holds an MFA from Yale University (2015) and a BFA from the School of the Art Institute of Chicago (2013). His work explores identity, culture, and the relationship between personal and collective history. Alekhuogie has exhibited at major institutions, including the Museum of Modern Art in New York and the California African American Museum in Los Angeles. In 2019, he was awarded the Rema Hort Mann Foundation Emerging Artist Grant. Abell provides in-house shipping for select items.
